Starting September 6th officials from 26 cities from around the world come together in Boulder to talk about the challenges they face as they get to carbon neutrality.
It’s the first time that a US city has hosted the Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance which has a global goal of cutting emissions by 80% or more, by 2050 or sooner.
Johanna Partin , Director of the CNCA, told KGNU’s Susan Moran that Boulder was chosen as the host city because of many of the carbon neutral initiatives it already has in place like municipalization and working to get to 100% clean heating and cooling systems.
