After Deadly Prom Night Crash, This Year Boulder Parents Are Organizing After Prom Parties And Safe Rides Homes

High school seniors are in the final stretch of the school year. For many, that means preparing to take finals or make last minute scholarship applications. But for seniors and juniors alike, it means prom season. While the rite of passage party can be an exception to curfews and an excuse to splurge with friends, prom nights also tend to come with risky behavior that can even become life threatening, especially when it comes to driving under the influence of alcohol.

Boulder Valley School District Superintendent Dr. Rob Anderson and Mary Pierce, Chairperson of the 2023 Fairview and Boulder High After Prom Party, spoke with News Director Shannon Young this morning.
