KGNU’s Aramis Loma Guzman sat down with host Abby O’Brien to discuss a recent tragedy in the CU community: CU’s back-up quarterback Dominiq Ponder was killed in a car accident on Sunday, Mar. 1.

Coach Deion Sanders released a social media post stating, “God please comfort the Ponder family, friends and loved ones. Dom was one of my favorites! He was Loved, Respected & a Born Leader. Let’s pray for all that knew him & had the opportunity to be in his presence. Lord you’re receiving a good 1. Comfort us Lord Comfort us.”

Ponder was 23 years old, from Opa Locka, Florida.

Guzman and O’Brien also talked about the Denver Nuggets’ rough eight-game homestand and the Colorado Rapids’ home opener.
