A suspected gunman is dead and a woman has been hospitalized after shots were fired this afternoon inside the Alliance Center at 15th & Wynkoop in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood.
A police spokesman has said that they believe the woman was targeted. She is at Denver Health in critical condition. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. (Update: Denver Police reported on twitter 6/29 that the victim has died)
The Alliance Center is home to several progressive organizations including American Rivers, BikeDenver, the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education. It is also host to the Truth in Media Series which KGNU is a partner in.
