Boulder Resident Turns 104

Elizabeth Mekkelsen is a founder of the Boulder Bird Club. She holds the record for taking the greatest number of senior classes at CU-Boulder, where she’s studied everything from history to art to music.  She’s also had many birthdays in her life — in February, she turned 104.  Elizabeth lives independently at Golden West in Boulder.  She just got hearing aids last month.  She still does walking.  She sees her doctor maybe once a year.
