Booktalk: Journalist Brantley Hargrove’s “The Man Who Caught the Storm”

Host Diana Korte speaks with Brantley Hargrove, author of The Man Who Caught the Storm: The Life of Legendary Tornado Chaser Tim Samaras, who describes Denverite Tim’s life and interests, his key weather invention, and how he died in the (still) biggest known tornado in El Reno, Oklahoma, on May 31, 2013.

It’s summer so the tornado season is upon us, and the movie Twisters is in theaters. This film includes a CU Boulder connection—a version of the university researchers’ RAAVEN storm-chasing drone.
