Booktalk: Isabel Allende and her first crime novel, “Ripper”

Chilean-born Isabel Allende is best known for her novels and memoirs, but after deciding not to retire from writing books after all, she penned a mystery with its motley collection of San Francisco characters.  In recognition of her work, a few months ago she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama.
