In 2015 Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson made the first free ascent of the nearly vertical 3,000-foot piece of granite known as the Dawn Wall on Yosemite’s National Park’s El Capitan. This is regarded the hardest climb in history and was followed closely by global media.
In his inspiring memoir, “The Push: A Climber’s Journey of Endurance, Risk, and Going Beyond Limits”, Estes Park native Caldwell describes some of the hows and whys as well the aftermath.
