Badi Women Break Down Caste Barriers In Nepal With Support From Local Author

Slavery is a practice that persists into the present day, albeit in the shadows; behind the bars of prisons, the closed doors of private homes and within the walls of brothels. In Nepal, caste-based barriers impeding social mobility put “untouchable” Badi women at acute risk. But storytelling can be a tool for breaking down those barriers while raising awareness at home and abroad.

News Director Shannon Young speaks with Sarah Davison-Tracy, a Colorado based human rights advocate, author, speaker, and founder of Seeds of Exchange. She has a new book out by the name of, “No Longer Untouchable.”
