Sleep Out Raises Awareness For Teen Homelessness

The Annual Sleep Out event is happening tonight. The Boulder-based nonprofit TGTHR is hosting its 10th annual Sleep Out event to raise funds and awareness for youth homelessness.

KGNU’s Rossana Longo Better spoke with TGTHR CEO Chris Nelson and communications manager, Alex Bergland about the complexities of poverty and teen homelessness.

Sleep Out begins at 6 PM at First United Methodist Church of Boulder for the event program and candlelight vigil, which precedes the Sleep Out starting at 10 PM. Those registered to Sleep Out will be in attendance along with other local leaders to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for homeless youth.
