On today’s edition of A Public Affairs, Therese Glowacki, the soon-to-be retired director of Boulder County Parks and Open Space talks impact, legacy, and local headlines.
A week ago, Boulder County announced Glowacki’s retirement via a news release. The date she officially goes out of office is December 17 of this year. Hearing this news of her retirement, KGNU host Jack Armstrong spoke with Glowacki about Parks and Open Space plans that will outlast the retiring director. They also spoke about pertinent local news, like the extension of a sales tax that would help fund parks and open space, as well as the Distell-Tull land sharing plan to put a composting facility on Longmont Open Space.
We also hear Glowacki’s thoughts on the 50th anniversary of Boulder’s park service, having been apart of the program for more than half it’s life span – 26 years!
