A Generation Of Mass Shootings

The school shooting in Uvalde, Texas this week rattled people across the nation. Here at KGNU, we had a lot of conversations about how to cover the deaths of 19 children and two adults gunned down by the 18-year-old gunman.

One conversation that stood out was with our interns, all of whom were born after the 1999 Columbine shooting. KGNU’s Alexis Kenyon spoke with three of our interns, Kiara Demare, Jimmie Searfoss, and Luis Licon, who came into the studio and shared what it was like growing up in an age of mass shootings.
