Surging inflation has led to cost of living increases, and wages haven’t been keeping up. Many people living paycheck to paycheck have turned to food banks. And those food banks have been struggling to keep up with demand while also dealing with inflation and supply chain difficulties.
Community Food Share is one of five major food bank distribution hubs in Colorado. KGNU’s Liz Lane recently spoke with Kim Da Silva, CEO of Community Food Share in Louisville about the logistical and cost challenges of keeping food on the tables of families across Boulder and Broomfield counties.
