Pride Month ended yesterday, but Pride can be all year long if you want it to. And as we look back at this year’s Pride celebrations, one thing stands out — unity in community.

KGNU’s Sage Sanford and Lyra Stone bring us these dispatches from last weekend’s Pridefest in Denver.

Voices in the story include retired and active firefighters, attendees who are LGBTQ+ and allies, and politicians including Julie Gonzales, who yesterday lost her primary race for US Senator to incumbent John Hickenlooper, and Amanda Gonzalez, who yesterday defeated Jessie Danielson in the Democratic primary election for Colorado Secretary of State.
