7 Minutes in Purgatory Merges Comedy with Experience

The High Plains Comedy Festival is in full swing in Denver, right now!

Dozens of comedy performers and acts are happening this evening and weekend at alternative venues throughout Denver. There’s tons to see! You can get a full schedule of events at highplainscomedyfestival.com.

This year, the festival will feature a bit of a different comedy show, called 7 Minutes in Purgatory, a very interesting intersection of comedy and performance art. Comedians are asked to perform in a space separate from the audience, and their performance is then broadcast live to the audience. That will be tonight at 6 at the Mutiny Information Cafe.

KGNU’s Veronica Straight-Lingo had the chance to speak with 7 minutes in Purgatory Creator and host Ian Abramson about the show, and he describes exactly what the show is about.
