2019 Spring Fund Drive News Specials

We’ll be featuring many special news programs during our Spring Fund Drive, March 6-17.

Wednesday March 6

  • 8.30-9.30 am: Award winning investigative journalist Dahr Jamail joins us to talk about his latest book on climate change: “The End of Ice: Bearing Witness and Finding Meaning in the Path of Climate Disruption.”
  • 6-7 pm: David Barsamian joins us live for Alternative Radio and an exclusive interview he did Ilan Pappe about his book “The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine.”

Thursday March 7

  • 8.30-9.30 am: tune in for a super-sized Radio Nibbles with John Lehndorff and some special guests live in the studio.
  • 6-7 pm: on It’s the Economy, Liz Lane speaks with economist Stephen Perlstein about his latest book “Can Capitalism Survive?”

Friday March 8

  • 8.30-9.30 am: on Connections, Dr. Marc Bekoff, professor emeritus of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado, talks about his latest book “Unleashing Your Dog:A Field Guide to Giving Your Canine Companion the Best Life Possible.”

Tuesday March 12

  • 8.30-9 am: on How on Earth, KGNU’s award-winning science show, Richard Wrangham talks about his new book: “The Goodness Paradox: The Strange Relationship Between Virtue and Violence in Human Evolution”
  • 3-3.30pm: on Metro, author Pam Houston speaks about her new book Deep Creek – a memoir of living in Colorado’s high country.

Wednesday March 13

  • 8.35-9.30am: on A Public Affair, Robert Reich joins us to talk about his new book The Common Good

Thursday March 14

  • 3-3.30 pm: on Metro, Dave Ashton speaks with Randy Shaw about his latest book “Generation Priced Out: Who Gets to Live in the New Urban America.”

Sunday March 17

  • Noon-12.30 pm: Dr. Sarah Myhill joins Robin Claire on Tributaries to talk about her latest book “Sustainable Medicine, Whistle-Blowing on 21st Century Medical Practice.”
  • 12.30-1 pm: Judith Orloff speaks with Duncan Campbell on Living Dialogues about her book “The Empath’s Survival Guide.”
