have Tony Trischka, The Ross Martin Trio, Spring Creek Bluegrass, and John

Ramble on the River 2008
Camping and Music Festival runs
today at The Mishawaka Amphitheatre, west of Fort Collins in the Poudre
Canyon. This one-day festival

Thursday:
There’s an open jam at Borders
Books, in the new 29th St Mall in Boulder, every Thursday from
6-9PM.
Thursdays mark the traditional jam at The White Fence Farm, 6263 Jewel
Ave. in Lakewood, from 7-9:30 p.m. The Bluegrass Music Preservation Society
sponsors this jam on 1st and 3rd Thursdays; and the Colorado Bluegrass Music
Society sponsors on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th (if there is one) Thursdays of the
month.
Arvada Covenant Church, 5555 Ward Rd., Arvada, holds a jam on the 2nd

Saturday:
Old Town Music, 285 S. Pearl St.,
Denver (NW corner of Alameda & Pearl. due west of the 7-11), has a pick on
the first Saturday of the month from 3-5 pm.
Open Bluegrass Pick, featuring some if Boulders best professional and amateur

Lonny
Lewis hosts a Saturday night jam from 6:30-9:30pm at the Northglenn

Dance Groups:
CFOOTMAD is the acronym for the Colorado
Friends Of Old Time Music And Dance. They meet twice a month in Boulder,

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, at 1000 W. 15th St (that's 4 blocks west of Main
street on 15th) in Longmont holds a bluegrass worship service every second
Sunday of each month. There are two services, at 8:15 am and 10:30 am, and

Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Longmont holds a bluegrass worship service,
and they're looking for additional bluegrass musicians to accompany this
service who are willing to perform on a volunteer basis. For more information,

Please submit your gigs at least one week in advance. The deadline for
Kgnu’s Concert and Community Calendars, which run during the week, is two weeks
in advance. These deadlines apply to the web pages as well as the radio
announcements. Please note that due to Kgnu’s non-profit status we can't post,
or announce, prices for non-KGNU performances, sorry. The Hotline is a
community service provided by KGNU, any one playing, or promoting, bluegrass
may submit their gigs, jams, and festivals regardless of membership status.

Good Morning Friends and Neighbors; I regret having to announce that Daniel
"Buck" Buckner passed away this past Thursday 10/2/2003, around 1:30
p.m., at his home in Boulder Heights; he was 62. He had been battling advanced
prostate cancer for more than a year before he expired. He survived by a close
family, and group of friends, who will miss him deeply. More...
