Wrenn Van Bands Last Boulder Show w/ special guest Riley J @ Roots Music Project

July 19 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm MDT

Don’t miss your last chance to see indie gem Wrenn Van! She’s taking the stage at Roots Music Project for one final blowout. Special guest Riley J will help make this an unforgettable night. It’s a bittersweet farewell as our beloved Wrenn departs for university. Be there to give her a rousing sendoff she wont forget!

Wrenn Van:

There’s nothing I love more than performing for a live audience. I hope to do it for the rest of my life. It’s an ambitious goal to want to do this professionally

I’m ready to do the work! I know I have to pay my dues, anything you want is worth working for. There will be days I end up playing for a small crowd when I was hoping for a large crowd. There will be other days where it all comes together. It’s a process. As long as I am constantly learning and growing, there will be progress.

I’m proud of the originals I’ve written and the songs that Ian and I have co-written. I’m also proud to have played the Arise Music Festival in 2019, it was a huge honor. I am always thrilled when other musicians invite me to sing and play with them. Ian and I have both jammed with Al Laughlin (The Samples) and Hazel Miller. There’s so much talent in Colorado, I’m fortunate to play all around the Boulder/Denver metro area and the Front Range.

Riley J:
Riley J, originally from the Milwaukee area, moved to Boulder about 1.5 years ago and shortly thereafter started performing around the Boulder music scene. Backing up neo-soul songwriter and performer is her talented 5-piece band. Featuring Conor Rowan on bass, Ryan O’Malley on drums, Andres Santana and Pablo Argote on guitar, and Wyatt Dubois on keys. Together they complement Riley’s vocals with skilled musicianship drawn from their shared influences across R&B, funk, soul, and hip-hop. They will share a compilation of originals by Riley J herself, and covers that will be sure to get you on your feet. Keep watch for these rising stars supporting Riley J on her journey to the top.
