Vocal Workshop Master Class w/ Gracie Jay @ Roots Music Project

Gracie Jay’s vocal master class offers musicians individualized feedback on vocal technique, pitch, diction, posture, storytelling & more.

Workshop Details:

This vocal workshop is a unique, individually concentrated seminar focusing on the specific needs of participants. Gracie works closely with musicians, providing feedback and advice regarding individual obstacles within each participant’s vocal and musical journey. Some basic vocal principles Gracie covers include:
-Gaining control of your chest, mixed, and head voice

-Diction for singing
-Maintaining a relaxed posture during live performance
-Connecting story and song
-Ear training to achieve quick pitch identification
-Vocal confidence

Gracie Jay
Established vocalist Gracie Jay presents a contemporary vocal workshop where she shares techniques, skills, and insights for those who wish to incorporate singing into their life and step into the role of a professional vocalist. Multi-talented arranger and vocalist, Gracie Jay has performed and recorded with artists including Cyrille Aimee, Nicholas Payton, Camille Thurman, Jamison Ross, and more. Gracie is a powerful force on stage, simultaneously writing and arranging for the same large ensembles she masterfully sings for. Hired for her diverse artistic contributions, Gracie is known for elevating every group she’s invited to. Performances with these groups include the Tuscon Jazz Festival, French Quarter Festival, Telluride Jazz Festival, and more.
