Presented by Katie Selvage owner and curator at IMA (ē-ma). This exceptional art show promises an immersive journey into the realm of iconic music photography. Join us along with the artists at the opening celebration Nov. 17th, 6-9pm. The exhibit will run through Dec 16th (please text or call (720) 707-3337 for hours).
Lisa Law, a visionary photographer whose career blossomed in the revolutionary 1960s, has immortalized legendary moments with the likes of Bob Dylan, Andy Warhol, Janis Joplin, Lou Reed, and The Beatles. Beyond mere celebrity snapshots, Lisa’s work offers an intimate and rare glimpse into their lives, as she was embraced as a trusted friend and insider.
David Michael Kennedy, a true maestro, has left an indelible mark on the music world. His visual symphony has graced countless iconic album covers and given life to timeless portraits of luminaries such as Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, Muddy Waters, Blondie, Iggy Pop, Jimmy Cliff, and Bob Dylan. His work pays tribute to the power of visual art to capture the very essence of an era and the souls of its luminaries.
Both of these extraordinary artists have earned their rightful place in esteemed private and museum collections, including The Smithsonian Institution, The National Portrait Gallery, and The Museum of American History. Their combined legacy is a testament to the enduring storytelling power of photography.
