Phoebe Nix with Canyon Collective and The Charlie Berry Project at The Velvet Elk Lounge

August 31 @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm MDT

Phoebe Nix are a rock group composed of some of the finest musicians in the front range. The group features Ryan Benthall on keyboards and synthesizers, Michael Santulli on electric bass, and Adam Darby on the drum kit, and the occasional horn section. The live outfit for singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist Christopher Clauss, Phoebe Nix, blends funk and jazz sensibilities with classic songwriting, and high points of wild improvisation. Some parts rock and roll , some parts jazz pop.
Nix rocks.

Charles ‘Charlie’ Berry, born in 1994 in Saint Louis, carries a unique connection to music, being the grandson of the legendary Chuck Berry. However, Charlie’s path is his own, defined by a quieter, yet equally passionate pursuit of his musical identity. From an early age, he found solace and expression through his guitar, playing in local bands and gradually stepping into the vibrant St. Louis music scene.
Over the years, Charlie has collaborated with renowned artists like Mike Zito and shared stages with bands such as Capoge The Elephant and The Roots. His appearances range from local venues to notable stages like the Jimmy Fallon Show, yet his approach remains introspective and unassuming. Now, Charlie is exploring his sound, traveling across the country to play with various musicians, learning and growing with each performance. This journey is about more than just music; it’s about crafting a personal legacy, one that respects his roots while forging a new path.
