MORE TIME is the upcoming album from singer, songwriter, pianist Pete Muller. Produced by Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price) the collection is a looser, grittier slice of rock and soul that Muller’s previous work, without sacrificing the open-hearted, expansive nature of Muller’s songwriting.
Pete Muller is a problem solver, whether he’s writing songs for his critically acclaimed albums, revolutionizing the way Wall Street works through applied mathematics at his trading company, winning as a semi-professional poker player, or authoring crosswords for the New York Times and Washington Post. If Pete has applied his mind to math and business, he has applied his passions to music. As a board member of The Live Music Society he has supported independent venues struggling in Covid times, and he’s partnered with the Berklee School of Music to save the legendary Power Station recording studio in NYC, which has hosted the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, David Bowie, and Bob Dylan.
Pete approaches his music with a deep curiosity about how writing and performing can improve one’s outlook and focus one’s mind. The album, featuring contributions from Memphis musician royalty including Will Sexton and Ken Coomer , and includes a series of personal and uplifting narratives including songs like “And (Hold On),” “See You Shine,” and “Run Out of Love” (featuring Lisa Loeb).
There’s nothing I love more than performing for a live audience. I hope to do it for the rest of my life. It’s an ambitious goal to want to do this professionally.
I’m ready to do the work! I know I have to pay my dues, anything you want is worth working for. There will be days I end up playing for a small crowd when I was hoping for a large crowd. There will be other days where it all comes together. It’s a process. As long as I am constantly learning and growing, there will be progress.
I’m proud of the originals I’ve written and the songs that Ian and I have co-written. I’m also proud to have played the Arise Music Festival in 2019, it was a huge honor. I am always thrilled when other musicians invite me to sing and play with them. Ian and I have both jammed with Al Laughlin ( The Samples ) and Hazel Miller . There’s so much talent in Colorado , I’m fortunate to play all around the Boulder/Denver metro area and the Front Range.
Hi! My name is Marina Eve, and I’m a 17 year old singer/songwriter and Boulder native. I am a junior at Watershed School, and I’ve been writing songs since before I can remember. When I was 11, I picked up a guitar for the first time and taught myself how to play, and now we’re here! My biggest inspirations are artists like Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Megan Moroney, Lainey Wilson, Zach Bryan, and more. I sing country music, and I plan on studying songwriting in Nashville after I graduate.
