A delightful gathering of veteran old jazz farts, led by Phil “Fly” McClard (tenor sax) & Douglass Shaw (piano), joined by Tim Hoy (drums) and Steve Johnson (bass). Collectively, they have about 237 gig years of experience, hitting their stride when they began terrorizing the downtown Boulder music scene in the late ’70s. An eclectic mix of originals and re imagined jazz standards as well as under played gems by Pat Metheny, Keith Jarrett and Charlie Haden.
