Comic Book Summer Camp at the Museum of Boulder

July 20 @ 9:30 am - 3:30 pm MDT

Students will learn all about comics and manga, explore a plethora of comic content, and learn to create their own comics through storytelling and art techniques. By the end of the camp, they will have their own finished comic!

Ages 10-14

Get creative and dream up your own superheroes and fantasy creatures. Tell the stories of the crazy adventures they go on in your very own comic book! You’ll work with experienced artists and writers and leave with a masterpiece to take home. Pop Culture Classroom is coming from Denver to take kids in Boulder on this unique adventure.

Days are broken into:

Free time (we load up piles of comics and games for your kids to explore, read, and play to their whims during this time)
Active or exploration time (outdoors, in the Museum’s Google Garage tinkering space, in the Museum’s Playzeum, or in the active, kid-friendly exhibits)
Lunch time
Snack breaks
Your kids will also leave with gift bags of comic books to take home

“Ethan isn’t into the stuff at most camps: he’s not into art or robotics or super physical camps. But he is imaginative and creative and really into comics and games, so this was a godsend for us.” – Parent

“My daughter has never done a camp like this. She came home every day excited to tell me about everything she did!” – Parent

“As a comic book lover myself, I understand the power of this medium to stimulate the mind.” – Parent

*Cancellation policy: We’ll refund 100% up to 30 days out. 14-29 days out we’ll refund 80%. Less than that we will refund 50%.
