Walk Off Hot magazine is excited to announced the opening of Ahhhh
Matchsticks: an art show and zine release by artist Charly Fasano at
The Matchbox (2625 Larimer Street, Denver, CO) starting September 6,
2024 through the beginning of October 2024.
Ahhhh Matchsticks is a collection of 30×30 inch drawings on canvas of
abstract patterns of matchsticks. The show is a study of how patterns
and movement emerge from random configurations of an item that can
provide safety and warmth or produce unmitigated disaster.
To compliment the show, Walk Off Hot is publishing issue 7, featuring
drawings from the Ahhhh Matchsticks series in vivid color. Each zine
also includes QR Codes that connect print media to additional content
online. Walk Off Hot is a zine which showcases drawings, writings and
collaborations by Charly Fasano and pals.
Please join us for the opening reception scheduled on First Friday,
September 6, 2024 from 6-9 pm at The Matchbox (2625 Larimar Street,
Denver, CO). 21 and up with valid ID and the event is free.
