Offered as an alternative to standard holiday fare, Bitter Moon explores how we can reconnect to our heritage. in order to reframe what this time of year could look like outside of our normal traditions.

Bitter Moon invites audiences into a surreal world drawing from Midwinter traditions across the globe to follow The Wild Hunt as we move through a winter’s night together. Bitter Moon explores the vital importance of wilderness, wildness, and community as we gather together on the longest nights of the year.

Over a 70-minute, 1.2-mile journey on paved and gravel trails, Bitter Moon threads dance, theatre, music, and design into a luscious experience of being out in nature at night. We offer guests warm drinks and extra layers to keep warm as we invite them to join us in celebrating the turning of the year and the time in between.
