Alt Rock Outer Planet Showcase with Nine Wide Sky and Mr. Knobs at Roots Music Project

January 13 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm MST

First in a series of musical events where we host and showcase the best and brightest, local Alternative Rock musical earthlings.

Join us on January 11th for our first showcase featuring the best and brightest, Alternative Rock earthlings in the Colorado Music Scene.

Nine Wide Sky is your host and Mr. Knobs is the first guest artist to be featured in this on-going showcase series.

Nine Wide Sky is a Boulder-based Alternative Pop duo consisting of Beau and Andy, both multi-instrumentalists. They share a love of 80’s pop, 90’s rock, and whatever “just sounds cool”.

Beau and Andy were introduced in the 90’s while playing in various bands around the Boulder area but didn’t collaborate until 2016 when they were fortuitously reconnected. Beau had some song ideas but no singer. Andy had a collection of riffs and melodies but no drummer. As an experiment, the duo swapped scratch recordings, then overdubbed their parts over the other’s original idea. The two first songs to emerge were “Universe” and “Time is Broken”.
Nine Wide Sky debuted at Roots Music Project in July of 2023.

Mr. Knobs – This project brilliantly combines operatic singing, prodigious musicianship, and lush digital sequences producing a truly modern and unique musical experience.

All ages welcome.
