Destination Freedom/No Credits Productions Present "Enrique's Journey"
|
Destination Freedom and No Credits Productions radio series/podcast are proud to announce "Enrique's Journey" Parts 3 & 4, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Sonia Nazario and adapted by Anthony J. Garcia. The live radio production will take place Saturday, Feb. 22 at Su Teatro and will be aired live on KGNU.
"Enrique's Journey" is a beautiful, sad, and inspiring testimony to the power of love and loneliness. Although love does not solve everything for Enrique, without it, he can not survive.
Braving unimaginable peril, often clinging to the sides and tops of freight trains, Enrique travels through hostile worlds full of thugs, bandits and corrupt cops.
This performance will also raise funds to support Casa de Paz. Casa de Paz' mission is to provide visits and emotional support, shelter and meals, access to phones, WiFi, computers, and transportation.
Help reunite families separated by immigrant detention, one simple act of love at a time. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/casadepazcolorado
Joining our conversation following the show will be Kiara Chavez of UndocuMonologues, activist Marge Taniwaki and Roberto Antonio Monico, an expert on border issues. Destination Freedom is made possible by the Bonfils Stanton Foundation, the Eulipions Fund of the Denver Foundation, Arts in Society, KGNU Community Radio, the Urban Spectrum, Denver Center for the Performing Arts and No Credits Productions, LLC.
