KGNU and CFCZ's Annual Mardi Gras Dance with Jesse Lége & Ed Poullard
KGNU and CFCZ's Annual Mardi Gras Dance Benefit Featuring Jesse Lge & Ed Poullard
KGNU Community Radio and Colorado Friends of Cajun and Zydeco Music (CFCZ) join for our annual celebration of Mardi Gras with an evening of revelry, music, and dancing with Jesse Lége & Ed Poullard and their band at Boulder's Avalon Ballroom on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Doors open at 6:30 P.M., a zydeco dance lesson starts at 7:00 P.M., and the musicians take the stage at 8:00 P.M.
New this year is Voodoo Alley, where you could have your future forecast by an astrologer or a fortune teller; you might find a face painter to provide you with a mysterious mask, and a photographer may capture you in all your festival finery.
Oskar Blues will provide delicious Cajun fare for purchase. Wine and beer will be available as will complimentary King Cake. In the spirit of Mardi Gras, enter the costume contest to win great prizes. The more outrageous the dress, the better your chances of winning! A raffle features a grand prize of a weekend in Vail.
This event benefits nonprofits KGNU Community Radio and CFCZ.
