KGNU Seeks A Digital Content Manager
KGNU, an award winning community radio station serving Boulder and Denver, Colorado, seeks a part-time Digital Content Manager to join our mission-driven broadcast and online media organization. The Digital Content Manager serves under the general supervision of the Station Manager and works with a paid staff of eight and more than 200 volunteers. The Digital Content Manager will be responsible for helping manage and improve our digital content offerings, including our all-music website (afterfm.com), our soon-to-be-launched news website (news.kgnu.org), our general information website (www.kgnu.org), and our social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.).

Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated skills in website development and management
  • HTML programming skills
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Digital Audio Workstation proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to craft raw audio content into high quality features
  • Strong editorial and writing experience
  • Expansive knowledge and understanding of social media engagement
  • Proven ability to carry out multiple activities and responsibilities in one job

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with broadcast radio, including radio board operation
  • Experience working with volunteers in a non-profit organization
  • Experience coordinating and developing content with a network of independent producers
  • Experience using a content management system
  • Graphic design experience
  • Video production experience
  • Experience managing live remote broadcasts
  • Familiarity with eclectic music and independent media
  • Experience with streaming audio and video servers and technologies
  • Experience with WordPress, MySQL, PHP, and Apache

This is a part-time position (25 hours/week) based primarily at KGNUs Boulder studios. Salary is $26,700 annually plus health insurance and a generous, flexible vacation policy.
