Micha Claire is one of the organizers of Echoes of Home: a Festival of Palestinian Film and Culture. The festival is happening in Boulder this Friday and Saturday.

Claire became an activist for Palestine in an unexpected way that began with a message on Instagram. She has  spent her entire career in the arts — she is the artistic director and founder for Actors Academy for the Performing Arts and Rocky Mountain Theater For Kids.

“I thought that was going to be my life,” said Claire. “Then one day, it was like the universe just came knocking.”

KGNU’s Abby O’Brien sat down with Claire to hear about the festival and her personal journey to the work.
