We used to ask a neighbor for a hammer more frequently. Nowadays we’re more apt to buy every tool we need – including items we may only use once, like post-hole diggers, tile-cutters, or plumbing wrenches. But each of us owning such tools is both a waste of money and resources. By sharing resources, ReSource Tool Library leverages communal purchasing power to do more with less. Whether you’re working on a community service project with a local school, building an affordable home with Habitat for Humanity™, cleaning up a park with your church or neighborhood association, restoring a trail with an environmental group, or merely working around the house, a Tool Library is there to lend a wide range of tools to any individual or nonprofit who needs tools for their projects. At their location at the popular ReSource Yard at 6400 Arapahoe Road in Boulder, they have collected 2500 tools and counting. Adam Jackaway chats with host Nikki Kayser.
