The Boulder County Community Action Program has been advocating for programs that meet the needs of low-income people since 1965, targeting youth, families and issues of inclusion. This year the Community Action Program will celebrate the 22nd annual Multicultural Awards to recognize people of different ethnic backgrounds who have made significant contributions to Boulder County in the areas of arts, business, community service, education, government, health, partners, science, and youth. Host Scott Kaplan chats with Betty Ball, receiving the partners award this year. The other award recipients this year are: Business – Keith Kanemoto; Community Service – Flor Macias; Education – Tijani Cole, JD; Government – Veronica Garcia, Maurice Henriques; Health – Mirna Castro; Science – Alex Vazquez; Youth – Daniel Vigil.
