In 1988 Dr. Bill Suro owned a large veterinary practice in suburban Denver. His wife Nanci was practice manager. They had recently added 24-hour emergency care to the hospital services. One problem immediately became obvious-what to do with all the animals in dire straits who are found by Good Samaritans, usually along side of the road? There is no publicly funded hospital to take care of injured animals with no known owners. They are sent to animal control and euthanized after no one comes forward. Tony Willemse, director, chats with host Nikki Kayser about some of the cats and dogs that Max Fund helps.

Front Range Source is where the talent in the front range nonprofit community comes together to focus on fund- raising.  From direct marketing to planned giving, board development to staff training, special events to major gifts, and everything in between, they tackle the tough issues – together. They have an online fund-raising site to build nonprofit capacity, share resources and celebrate local talent. They offer opinions – mostly strong ones – and sometimes invite guests to sound off about fund-raising, too.  Leslie Allen chats with host Nikki Kayser about the workshops they offer that focus on the most pressing issues facing professional and volunteer fundraisers.
