Saturday, they will ask Governor Ritter why Colorado does not have feed-in tariff for solar energy. Betty Harris explains to host Nikki Kayser how it could work and why it would be an incentive for residents and businesses to produce more energy than they need. She mentions the arrival of the second solar leasing company to arrive in Colorado next week. Finally she takes on a bill that promotes a superior bio-fuel. Limerick has dedicated her career to bridging the gap between academics and the general public and to demonstrating the benefits of applying historical perspective to contemporary dilemmas and conflicts. She chats with host Nikki Kayser about the rewards of bring stakeholders, faculty, government, the public, humanists, scientists and folks of diverse backgrounds and political perspectives together for dialogue and understanding on issues of common interest.
Boulder County Cares
Wednesday, December 9th, 2009Volunteers,such as Kevin Neal, round-up donated blankets and sleeping bags and distribute them to the people they find sleeping on the streets in cold weather. Each night teams cover the county from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Director Brenna White, and volunteer, Kevin Neal relay to host, Nikki Kayser how grateful people are for their efforts.
A list of collection sites for blanket donations , such as Starbucks, is on Boulder Round-up’s facebook cause page. You can donate money there as well.
