The most important Latino Festival in Colorado is back! Barrio E, in partnership with The Latino Chamber of Commerce, is proud to announce the 2nd Colorado Latino Festival on Sunday, June 25, 2017 in downtown Longmont, along Main St from 3rd to 6th Streets, and from Kimbark to Coffman. This years festival expects nearly 20,000 guests from across Colorado and our neighboring states New Mexico, Kansas, Utah and Wyoming thanks to our partnership with media giant Telemundo Denver. Sponsors include Elevations Credit Union, Delta Dental with the Healthy Beverage Partnership, Raices Brewing Company, Fwd.us, Boulder County, the Denver Nature and Science Museum, 1st Bank, Boulder County Healthy Youth, Inventiva, Boulder Valley Womens Health and more.
The event is and will focus on UNITY, a theme adopted this year to bring communities together in celebration. Longmont is home to a third Latino population and we want to this city to once again be the epicenter of Latino culture for a day. Entertainment on two stages, hands-on activities, information resources and Latin cuisine will be part of whats being offered. Artists and vendors will be representing Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Chile and other Latin American countries and the U.S. In addition to our theme, we will be celebrating the contributions of Latino women by honoring Coloradoan heroines voted by people in a survey.
