Severe weather warnings and watches issued for the Front Range today

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of central, east central, north central and northeast Colorado, from noon today through 10 pm this evening.

Another round of thunderstorms will produce locally heavy rainfall this afternoon and evening. The strongest storms will be capable of producing 1 to 2 inches of rain in less than an hour. Given the recent rainfall and nearly saturated soils, any heavy rainfall may produce flash flooding.

And, a Flood Advisory has been issued until Tuesday June 9 at 5:00 pm for the South Boulder Creek near Eldorado Springs in Boulder County.
At 11:15 pm Thursday the stage was 4.3 feet. Flood stage is 4.5 feet. The river is forecasted rise to near 4.4 feet this morning. At 4.5 feet, houses between Eldorado Springs and Marshall begin to flood.
