John Perkins Lecture

John Perkins' controversial first book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man was a groundbreaking polemic about corporate greed in America, its destructive global influence on developing third-world countries and the role he himself played in that destruction. The book spent nearly a year on the New York Times bestseller list and went on to become one of the most critically-acclaimed non-fiction books of the year.

In his latest book, The Secret History of the American Empire: The Truth About Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and How to Change the World, Perkins goes into even more depth about the Machiavellian manipulation of the global economy by what he calls the corporatocracy of America, and what we as responsible citizens can do to help put a stop to it.

We will have copies of Perkins' first book available at the lecture.
