KGNU Open House in Denver
|
KGNU will broadcast LIVE from the new studio and remote locations in the Denver area. From noon to 1pm, the Metro show will interview Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper and Councilwoman Judy Montero. A favorite bilingual radio program with KGNU listeners, iCorriente! (7-9 pm) will interview local Denver Hispanic activists. The popular KGNU show Hemispheres (6-7 pm) will feature local people focusing on national and international affairs. From 1-4 pm, during the Afternoon Sound Alternative, hosted by Music Director John Schaefer, will broadcast live from Twist and Shout at 300 E. Alameda Avenue.
We will be serving refreshments and conducting studio tours all day. So come on by 700 Kalamath St in Denver, join in the celebration and let us introduce you to independent, community-based radio for the Front Range.
